We would like to thank all who participated in Household Hazardous Waste Day and the Gibson County Clean-Up! Gibson County Clean-Up is now an ongoing effort and clean-up packets will be available year round at all of our locations to those organizations/individuals signing on to pick-up litter from public areas around our community.

For trailer or large truck loads of items/furniture for disposal at the Large Trash and Compost Yard – we kindly ask you to arrive no later than 2:30pm to allow enough time to unload prior to gate lock-up at 2:50pm. Large loads may be turned away if there is not sufficient time for unloading prior to gate lock-up.

Recycle tips
- When in doubt — leave it out!
- Use separate bins for paper, plastic, metal, and aluminum cans OR put multiple items in one bin and use bags to separate them
- Break down cardboard and store in a larger cardboard box. Large box and contents can be recycled together
- Plastic shopping bags can be recycled at most stores – better yet, use a reusable bag
- Keep a space on your counter so you can recycle as you are cooking or cleaning. It will be easier to put the recyclables in their proper place when you are finished
- For items like cans or bottles that may not need dropped off as often, rinse them out — this prevents odor in your home
